UNESCO and the UIA have named Barcelona the World Capital of Architecture 2026.

This distinction highlights the importance of architecture, urban planning, and landscape design in a diverse, dense city with limited natural resources and a Mediterranean climate: sunny and mild, but also with periods of drought and heat waves. Barcelona, like many cities, faces challenges of economic, social, and environmental sustainability. The aim of this designation is to be a shared and decentralized celebration, reinforcing links with neighborhoods and highlighting the city’s heritage, creativity, and history.
In this context, Cases Singulars presents a program of activities, guided visits, and lectures to showcase our heritage sites and share our approach: visits with care, respectful of spaces and collections, that tell the stories helping us understand today’s Barcelona.
